Limited Atonement versus Romans 14:15,23, I Corinthians 8:11, II Peter 2:1

The below three passages are devastating against the false Calvinistic doctrine of the “limited atonement” which says that Jesus only died for the elect/saved. Each passage is clearly talking about a Christian who has lost his salvation, yet in each case the text makes it clear that Jesus died for that person. So Jesus did indeed die for everybody, even people who end up being lost (by their own choice I might add – Josh 24:15).

Romans 14:15,23

But if thy brother be grieved with thy meat, now walkest thou not charitably. Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died. … And he that doubteth is condemned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

I Corinthians 8:11

And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died?

II Peter 2:1

But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in condemnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
